Bamboo T Shirts

SHIRTSPACE ASKS THE QUESTION: "Why is bamboo clothing becoming so popular?"

Lets begin by taking a look at the source, bamboo itself. Bamboo is a very hardy plant that can withstand harsh weather conditions and flooding. It can hold up to three times its weight in water and grow three to four feet in a day! Because it can store so much water, it does not need as much water as often. Bamboo doesn't require a bunch of pesticides or fertilizers for it to grow successfully either. Soil improvement is another benefit of bamboo. It can reduce erosion and desertization in degraded areas. If you are thinking this plant is pretty impressive wait until you hear this; a grove of bamboo releases 35% more oxygen then an equivalent stand of trees!

While you are letting all of that sink in, lets take a look at the fabric that is made by the bamboo plant.

-A 20th century Chinese development
-Its softer then cotton and has a texture similar to silk or cashmere
-Absorbs water quickly and wicks away moisture from the skin.

How long will it take to get my order?

Happy President's Day Shirtspace customers!

Its now about an hour before closing, but we have been open all day! UPS is still shipping and delivering packages today therefore we are taking orders.

Here is how our shipping schedule works. If you place your order Monday through Friday your order will ship that day or the following business day depending on what time you place your order. Orders that are placed before 2pm PST generally ship the same day. After 2pm your shirts will most likely ship the next business day. If you place your order over the weekend we try our best to get all orders shipped on Monday. If there is a back up, occasionally some orders will have to ship out on Tuesday.

Orders generally take one to five business days to reach our customers. On average you should expect one to three business days. Your shipment should not take longer then five business days unless it is shipping to Alaska or Hawaii or going parcel post. You can take a look at our warehouse locations HERE

How Shirtspace Works

Hello Shirtspace Customers!

Are you wondering how Shirtspace works? If so, we will get you up to speed!

Shirtspace bases all of its prices on the color "white" if you can call it a color. Each product has a price that you will see next to it and this price is the price if you were to purchase that item in white. With that said, if you would like a different color you will head over to the drop down menu under the word "color" and see a list of all the colors that t-shirt comes in. Grey is the next step up and then all the rest of the colors will be a little more expensive. Next to each color will be a price that you would need to tack onto the base price (white). Don't worry, the website will calculate it for you when its added to the cart.

Sizes small through extra large are all the same price, no added fee. If you would like to get a bigger size such as 2xl, 3xl, or larger you will see an added cost next to that size. Again, this is the cost that is added onto our base price (white).

At Shirtspace we also offer discounts. Instead of quantity discounts which are based on the amount of shirts you order we allow you to get discounts whether you buy one t-shirt or 1000 t shirts. In order to get your discount you will need to fill out our Discount Application . This is a simple survey to help us to better understand our customers needs and improve the site and in return we offer you a savings of anywhere from 5% to 15% off our already low prices on all future purchases!

WHAT BRAND IS THE BEST?

Today I would like to address the question, "What brand is the best?"

Here is a list of the popular t shirts brands we carry at Shirtspace.com:

Gildan-Hanes-Jerzees-Fruit of the Loom-Anvil-Alternative-American Apparel-Augusta Sportswear-Authentic Pigment-Code V-Comfort Colors-Hyp-LA T Sportswear-Tie-Dye-Bella-Dri Duck-Vapor Apparel

Of these brands, I cannot say that one is better than the other. It is another question that is a matter of opinion. Instead of telling you what brand is the best I would like to share what I know about a few of the brands.

#1 Gildan is by far the most popular brand for t shirts and sweatshirts. This may be due to their high quality, great variety of styles, colors, and sizes, and they are very affordable.

#2 Hanes seems to be very high quality. The popular "beefy" tee is what attracts most customers. It is 100% ultra soft cotton in a 6.1oz weight.

#3 American Apparel is great because its made in the USA! Their warehouse is located right in Los Angelos, CA. This brand is also very trendy and fashionable. It seems to be most popular in bigger cities.

#4 Jerzees, Fruit of the Loom, and Anvil brands seem to be pretty comparable. Anvil makes a line of tear away label t shirts where you can completely pull out the original paper tag and sew in your own! This is great for promoting your own brand. Fruit of the loom also makes tagless tees but unlike Anvil, they still have an imprint of the brand inside the shirt where the tag would be.

#5 Alternative, Bella, LA T sportswear and Hyp are also great brands that are a little more expensive but if you are looking for that great fit in a more fashionable tee then these are perfect! Bella is the most popular as far as women's clothing goes. They make a complete line of styles and colors that will make you want one of everything. They even have athletic apparel like yoga pants, shorts, sports bras, and undergarments.

#6 Dri Duck is in it's own category because it is made for the outdoorsman. This line of t shirts comes with some sort of animal on each different tee. Buck, mallards, elk, Labradors, and bass are among these animals.

#7 Vapor Apparel is a fantastic brand for sublimation printing. These shirts are 100% polyester.

#8 Tie-Dye. Say no more.

#9 Augusta Sportswear, Authentic Pigment, and Comfort Colors were all made with the intent of being comfortable.

What T Shirts are the best quality? 100% cotton VS 50/50 Blend

The first question I get asked frequently is, "What shirt is the best quality?"

This is kind of a loaded question because many people have different opinions on this topic. I will begin with a list of the pros and cons of 100% cotton vs 50/50 blends. This will help you decipher what qualities you are looking for in a blank t shirt and which type of material would fit your needs.

100% Cotton T Shirts:
Pros
-Tend to hold their color better. They will stay richer and brighter for longer.
-Softer, more dense, and heavier feeling.
-Most are pre-shrunk
-Combed cotton is great for printing on due to a smoother surface
-Ring spun cotton is softer
Cons
-100% cotton shirts tend to stretch more which makes them tend to lost their shape faster.
-Ring spun cotton is fuzzier and does not have as smooth of surface for printing
-More expensive

50/50 Blend T Shirts:
Pros
-They do not shrink as much as 100% cotton
-They wrinkle less
-Tend to be more durable and hold up longer with wash and wear
-Less expensive
Cons
-Fade easier
-Lighter weight
